Dear Diary

This post is more like a diary entry so, you might want to skip it if you think reading others' diaries is bad manners (just joking). Anyways, let me start my blah blah blah. Here it comes...

I was just pondering if internet is an over-rated place and I think I have come to a conclusion that it really IS. I can't believe how I can't find nearly anything good on the internet; I mean internet can serve the entertainment purposes but, if I want to do a study-related research, find a specific topic or search for a specific fact, internet has NADA to offer. I am sick of searching on Google and Yahoo! for hours only to waste my time.

A recent Microsoft Newsletter is a good example of why I am so disgusted with Internet, It said that if I want to find a specific topic, I should make my keywords more specific, it gave an example something like: if I want the name of the first F1 champion from USA, I should try the keywords "Who was the first F1 champion from USA?" to get a quicker result. The writer said that he got the answer (with the recommended keywords) on the first page only. I thought hey! let's try it, I typed in the keywords and got NO fruitful results, I tried everything from removing quotation marks to using different synonyms of the search words but, only to find out that to get the answer, either I should read a (very) long Wikipedia article on F1 racing or end my quest.
Ok, I admit I exaggerated a bit but, my point is that I seldom find what I am looking for on a search engine. I don't think there is any fault in my searching techniques, perhaps, it has something to do with my location. I think that the search engines provide locality-specific search results and Google.com perhaps has better search results than Google.co.in.

Another thing I did today (besides studying my textbook) was a little bit of sketching. I drew a Magneto cartoon in my scrap-book. I wish I had a scanner to post the picture here 'cause I am proud of that sketch. Ok, enough of my ranting & boasting, now.
I am gone! Bye!

Random Me

Hi,
Today's blog is not about Yahoo! Answers (disappointed?), I just didn't feel like writing about Yahoo! Answers today and with my motto of "don't do things half-heartedly", here I am.

So, today's blog is just a random rant, read it if you have nothing to do (and don't get bored easily). :P

Ok, so about me- as a child, I've always been facinated by pencils, books, paper, sketch-pens, pens and chart-sheets and I mean from the age of four! My parents tell me that I was never interested in the things that the other children of my age did. When my cousins were flying kites, I was drawing cartoons in my little scrap-book; when my friends were playing their little games, I was reading books from my Dad's english literature collection and fixing the dog-eared pages of the old books. So, basically, I was too mature for my age or so people say.

Also, I have always been a little too protective of my stuff. I have been told that I was never and perhaps still am good with sharing my things with others, the reason being my thinking that no one cares about my things as much as I do and hence they don't deserve to touch what they don't care about. That said, I wasn't a hypocrite, I didn't borrow stuff from others' either. "You keep your thing, I keep mine."
Of course I had to compromise with my (irrational?) philosophy many a times.

Umm.. what else? Yea, I also have an obsession with speed, I love to go biking on a windy day, it gets the adrenaline rushing. Don't get me wrong, I am not a rash driver but there's nothing wrong with a little sensible speeding, right?

Ok now, I've run out of more thoughts, so I'll leave the rest for the next blog.

Bye!

Yahoo! Answers and me!

Hi!

I was thinking of doing it for quite a while. Now, that I got some spare time, I decided to create by own blog spot & put some stuff here. To start with, I'd just like to share some of my experiences with Yahoo! Answers. You can find me there as Batman answering questions, having fun AND sometimes, asking questions. There are many different reasons for asking questions. Some use it as a Magic 8 ball , some try to be a little ahem... "dumb", some ask interesting questions while, some just have fun.

There are questions which help you discover yourself, there are questions which make you smile And then there are questions which are simply unanswerable (or so I thought).

But, the point is, once you get hooked to the site, there is NO WAY OUT.

Now, I am out, hope you enjoyed the links, If you did, please let me know and I'll be putting more such stuff about Yahoo! Answers. So, until next time, bye bye & take care!
